Seeing as Fat Boys is so near my home, it's a wonder that I don't eat there more often. But I guess that is about to change after trying it (twice). Fat Boys has a selection of burgers and also allows you to build your own burgers, which my dining companions found very exciting haha.
I tried the Bolly Wooly which is made up of the Honey Oat bun, Lamb Patty, Curry Remoulade and Mango Chutney. The Lamb Patty was juicy as stated and the Mango Chutney gave the burger a sweetness that was nice but got slightly overpowering towards the end. Nonetheless it was still a good burger that fulfilled the requirements of having lotsss of sauce!
J built her own burger and upgraded her fries to chilli cheese fries (extra $3) and declared her burger to be excellence. I stole a few of her fries when she wasn't looking and regretted not getting chilli cheese fries too because they were gooooood.
P got The Burgatory (which I tried on a previous visit) and added an extra egg. The Burgatory is made up of the sesame seed bun, beef chuck patty, Chilly Queso and juicy jalapenos which combine to give you a really good burger (I liked this more than the Bolly Wooly, but the concept of Fat Boys is really to ensure that everyone can have their own favourite burger!)
On a previous visit, YH had the Wimpy with beef. It is essentially the Fat Basterd with only one beef chuck patty, along with the bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg and Fatboy's sauce with a sesame bun. For a signature burger, it was good but not particularly memorable. The meat was cooked well, as with their other burgers, though she did wish the patty was slightly more juicy. For a good burger, there's got to be a juicy patty and cheese that doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth, of which this burger satisfied the latter at least.
Booly Wooly $11
The Burgatory $13
Wimpy $14.5
