Now I can finally say I've been to Savour!! After much coaxing I finally found someone willing to pay $62.50 & go for Savour with me (thank you P) because $62.50 is a lot of $$ for poor souls like us earning measly $8 per hour but it was also REALLY WORTH IT!! We had $30 credits each with the entrance fee which gave us $60 between the two of us (you can top up the card inside tho)
P & I went for the dinner session on 26th March Thursday and being kiasu Singaporeans we were there at 6pm when it was still pretty empty. The food section is open air and each chef gets his own stall selling about 3 items each.

So we headed down to Turf City on a weekend for lunch and we weren't disappointed.
The place works like a fast food restaurant in a way. You queue up, place your order, pay and then take a seat. They give you the device that beeps when your order is ready and you can collect it from another counter. Drinks will be ready for collection almost right after you pay.

Had a crazy ramen craving last Sunday, so when my parents left the decision of our lunch venue to me, Ippudo popped into my head right away, having eaten there before and also because it's famous, so it's bound to be good, right?
Definitely. Ippudo SG has expanded since my last visit, with three other outlets but the one at Mandarin Gallery is the original one. It isn't very big, probably sits around 60 people, so there you have to queue for a seat if you go at lunchtime. Especially Sunday lunchtime, haha.

We spotted Ryoshisushi Ikeikemaru while walking around Liang Court one afternoon and vowed to return after seeing the uni (sea urchin) which is possibly our greatest food weakness. Thus we returned a week later for dinner already dreaming of all the sashimi that we were going to have.
Ryoshisushi has a system where most of the sushi is separated into price categories - $1.80, $2.80, $4.80 and $6.80 and also has some sets which were quite value-for-money. Honestly, the variety was amaaaazing! There were many different types of sushi that we had never even heard before, which sets Ryoshisushi apart from many other Japanese sushi restaurants.

Seeing as Fat Boys is so near my home, it's a wonder that I don't eat there more often. But I guess that is about to change after trying it (twice). Fat Boys has a selection of burgers and also allows you to build your own burgers, which my dining companions found very exciting haha.

From the founders of Saveur, we now have Concetto, a pocket-friendly option for a satisfying Italian meal at The Cathay. Having tried (and enjoyed!) Saveur, I dragged a friend along to Concetto with high expectations which fortunately did not disappoint.
