OMAKASE BURGEROmakase Burger had so many rave reviews, by Straits Times, by 8Days.. and many other critics so obviously we had to try it when we were free.
So we headed down to Turf City on a weekend for lunch and we weren't disappointed.
The place works like a fast food restaurant in a way. You queue up, place your order, pay and then take a seat. They give you the device that beeps when your order is ready and you can collect it from another counter. Drinks will be ready for collection almost right after you pay.

SAPPORO BEER AND HOME-MADE LEMONADE

We ordered two drinks, one bottle of Sapporo beer, and their home-made lemonade. Beer was normal, whatever but lemonade was quite a disappointment."Own blend" and "secret ingredients" sound really exciting right? But the lemonade was boring, normal lemon juice.. Not worth the $4.60 in my opinion.

OMAKASE BURGER

BURGERS.
They were really good, really juicy for all three. Buns were nice and warm, the flavours of each burger worked well. We ordered cheese fries (large) because we thought the regular one was too small for three of us.. But I guess it was indeed but only because YT is a mad fries eater and she nommed it all up.
The fries were the skinny kind which I love and they were crispy and potato-ey. Good stuff. And the cheese was generous too, they were sufficient for all the fries which is good. Some places are so stingy with cheese.
The cheese was slightly warm, so they went well with the hot fries and I liked the extra herbs on the top too.

LEFT: OMAKASE CHICKEN BURGER, RIGHT: DELUXE CHEESEBURGER

On the left we have the Omakase Chicken Burger, which my dad ate because he's trying to not eat so much red meat. It was really really good for a chicken burger. The chicken fillet was juicy, moist and definitely not the mashed chicken bits kind of patty. With the secret Omakase sauce, it was absolutely delicious.

The next burger on the right of the above photo would be the Deluxe Cheeseburger which has additional grilled onions and mushrooms. We thought this was the winner out of the three because it had a grilled flavour that was unique and tasty. Juicy beef patty was really good, eat it quick though because the ingredients are so juicy they will make your burger bun soggy if you leave it too long!

OMAKASE CHEESEBURGER AND CHEESE FRIES (LARGE)

Now my burger was the Omakase Cheeseburger. It's similar to the Deluxe, just without the grilled onions and mushrooms. So it was fabulous too, but not as good as the Deluxe. But that doesn't mean it's lousy.. It's still really really good! If I hadn't tried the Deluxe, I would have left thinking man Omakase really does have good burgers so yeah. Get their beef burgers!!

We had a good time at Omakase Burger even though The Grandstand seems like quite an ulu place. The place was very family friendly, we saw lots of young children there and there are a variety of seats. You can take the high chairs if you want to pop some beers with your burgers, or take the nice sofa seats with your family.

The Grandstand has quite a lot of parking spaces, and there are free shuttle buses to get there so it shouldn't be a hassle I guess (:
